Saturday Night

I staged a little ant holocaust in my bathroom today. I know its terrible, but I just had to exterminate some of them. I cornered about 100 of them with water, then sprayed them. There is currently an ant graveyard next to my shower. It made me really happy to at least hurt some of them for biting so hard.

Besides for that, I have spent a lot of time today getting to know our Dutch guests. There are 12 of them, mostly from Amsterdam, and we have just been talking about all sorts of things. We saw black and white Colubus monkeys (about 10 of them) and I took a cool video of them jumping from tree to tree and eating. What else? It was Lorenz, the Swiss boy’s 15th birthday today so we had chocolate cake at tea time. Quite the treat. So, today was a great day: I am teaching James in the mornings from 9-12, then I have the afternoons to do as I please. I am learning Swahilli, slowly, but surely, and getting adjusted to life here. I am only homesick when I am all alone, which is not too often, as my days are busy. Now I’m going to read and go to sleep! More tomorrow!
